Jenny is threatening to give us more difficult prompts (and probably fewer words)! I already think that the 100 word limit is VERY difficult, and I haven’t seen a prompt yet that I would consider easy! So….I’m afraid – very afraid!
LOST AGAIN
(The prompt appears in bold print)
We were lost again. I knew I was nagging, but I had to try one more time. Why don’t you turn around, and get directions at that gas station?
His jaw tightened, as he replied, I’m sure that sign up there will verify that we’re on the right road.
I did see a sign at the end of a curve in the road, but I couldn’t read the words. When we rounded the curve, the words became clear, and the sign read, “Dead End-You Should Have Listened To Your Wife!”
I didn’t even have to say “I told you so”!
Don’t you wish there really were signs like that on the road? Thank you for coming to visit me. Be sure you go to Jenny Matlock Off On My Tangent to find some great responses to her Saturday Centus prompt. Laurie
