This week, Jenny has again given us only 50 words for Saturday Centus, BUT, she is giving away another gift! What fun!
INAPPROPRIATE LAUGHS
(PROMPT: LAUGH OUT LOUD)
When the preacher pauses for objections at a wedding,
I battle to not laugh out loud in the solemn setting.
When someone falls, of this I’m certainly not proud,
But I have to struggle to not just laugh out loud!
It’s said that laughter is better than medications,
But trust me, it’s disastrous in some situations!

Indeed! Sweet take on the prompt.
Oh, I'm the same way! I know it's terrible to laugh at people's falls, but I just can't help it....as long, of course, they didn't get hurt!
I know the feeling...my kids were asking why it was okay to laugh at America's Funniest Home Videos recently. I won't go into my long-winded explanation, but it is so true...we just laugh even when we know we should not :)
hahaha. I want to object at a wedding. Must be why I'm not invited to many. :)
Great job and so true..sticky situations call for massive lip and tongue biting to prevent extreme embarrassment !
I love this take on the prompt! Great rhythm and cadence of your poem.
Namaste..........cj
Oh I enjoyed your poem and your centus take is laugh out loud wonderful! Thank you!
Laurie, this is a very clever piece! AND TRUE! Sometimes I have to bite my tongue to keep from laughing at something inappropriately.
oh this was very clever, very cute and very very real!!!
Great one and so true. I used to have such a hard time with inappropriate laughter when I was young.
I still do, sometimes...
=)

Are you ready to change your blog title now to "I battled my inner writing demons and I kicked their bu**s" ?????
