This week’s prompt for Saturday Centus is, “Wait! There’s More!” I hope I get over my “little ditty addiction” soon. I bet you do too. Thanks for hosting, Jenny.
Jack and Jill went up the hill
To Fetch a Pail of Water.
Jack fell down and broke his crown
And Jill came tumbling after.
THE REST OF THE STORY
Stop! Wait! There’s More!
Jill kissed Jack’s crown,
They fooled around,
Their hearts began to soar.
~~~
Each day, they went back up the hill,
And hand-in-hand, they’d jump.
They always landed with a thump,
And when they kissed, it was a thrill.
~~~
One day, on top of the hill,
Jill explained she could not jump
She showed Jack her baby bump.
And Jack jumped from the hill.
~~~
Now when she climbs up that hill,
To little Baby Jack, Jill has this to say:
“Your real daddy jumped and ran away.
That’s why your Daddy’s name is Bill.”
Thank you for coming to read my contribution. Check out the others at Jenny Matlock Off On My Tangent. laurie
Nothing like a fractured nursery rhyme!
;)
OMG! Laurie, this is just soooo funny and clever!! Brava!!
Wonderful!
I enjoyed hearing "the rest of the story".
Hilarious. Your mind is twisted...like red licorice and roller coasters...in the most fun ways!
This is just too funny and so well put together, better than the original!
Hmmm...the words "fractured nursery rhyme" do fit nicely! and the overall picture make me laugh. Very Creative! :)
I found this very funny. Nice take on the theme
