I’m again linking to the 100 Word Challenge for Grown Ups at Julia’s Place (the new location for this meme). Thanks for hosting, Julia.
BLIND DATE
(Prompt: Photo shown below)
I had asked my friend, George, to stop bringing me blind dates.
George assured me, “This one is the exception. She’s a delicate flower. A real beauty. You won’t believe it when you see her.”
Who could pass up an enticement like that? With fear, I agreed to one more blind date.
“May I have this dance,” I asked.
“Yes, but please don’t damage my dress.”
I whispered to George, “When you said ‘delicate flower’, I didn’t think you meant literally!”
I wanted to slap the smirk off his face, when he replied, “But you can’t deny that she’s beautiful.”
Julia didn’t say anything about not altering the photo. Hope I don’t get kicked out! To see more writings regarding this lovely floral lady, please go to Julia’s Place. Thank you for stopping by my place. Laurie

ha ha!! You got all of that from the prompt of the picture? Maybe... I said MAYBE... I'll try this 100 word thingie. I still fear it's a skill beyond my pay grade.
So far, this comment is over thirty words, and that doesn't count the laugh.
I would have loved this kind of thing when I was a language arts teacher.
This made me chuckle - especially the way you added to the picture! I think this was a really clever way to use the prompt.
