IN THE AUTUMN

jennysidebar_button_SAT-2[1]

Do you think Jenny is trying to get rid of some of her Saturday Centus participants?  Oh My Gosh Jenny! I almost didn’t participate this week.  32 words, INCLUDING the prompt (in the Autumn), to the tune of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star!  In the Summer, you used the excuse that the heat was causing you to give us difficult assignments.  Surely, even in Arizona, the heat has dissipated some.  Does mild weather also make you want to challenge us to our limits?  All complaining aside, I do thank you for hosting Saturday Centus, and I thank you for coming up with prompts each week (even though they are crazy difficult).  I wasn’t ready to give up yet though, so here’s my contribution this week.

What a challenge this was!  Even though I accepted the challenge, I wasn’t very successful.  To see contributions that I’m sure were more successful , please visit Jenny Matlock Off On My Tangent.  I can’t say her blog is not appropriately named.  Jenny was really off on a tangent this week!  Thanks for visiting.  Laurie

Ooooh. I concur with Judie. Very clever. You did a terrific job with the prompt. I think it could definitely be another nursery song hit!

Really nicely done. Love that you were able to put the verse in the musical format.

What you have written here is not bad, but it is not really 'singable' as it is now. You have a choice; either you just let is stand as a poem not attached to the melody of 'Twinkle...' or you could rewrite it to get the rhythm and rhyme to fit the song melody.

There is nothing wrong with the content of your poem. Fall can be a welcome relief after a long hot summer.
Best wishes,

I am singing each entry as I read it and I love the way your words flow! They just trip along, happily, painting a pretty little picture.

Loved this!

PS It's still 100 plus here! But I still might be 'nice' this week!

Thanks for sharing this!
