Jenny’s prompt this week is “you could have had it all”, plus 100 words. I don’t know how you do it, Jenny. Thank you for always coming up with an interesting prompt and for hosting Saturday Centus.
EVEN I WAS SURPRISED BY MY RESPONSE!
I was reporting the figure skating competition at the Olympics when a co-reporter asked, “Is this difficult for you? Four years ago, you were one of the contenders, and you could have had it all.”
“Skating had been my life since the age of four. Yes, I was warming up for the Olympics when Lisa Lee accidentally sliced my ankle with her skate blade. When I was told I’d never skate again, I thought life was over. Dan, my Physical Therapist, taught me to walk again, and we fell in love. Six months ago, we were married, and we’ve just learned that I’m pregnant. I DO have it all!”
Thank you for visiting my blog. To read other Saturday Centus contributions, go visit Jenny Matlock Off On My Tangent.

A happy ending to what could have been tragic.
Question is...is it true? :)
